COVID 19 Impact Assistance

Alamo Head Injury Association stays committed to helping improve the quality of life for brain injury survivors and their families in the Bexar county and surrounding areas. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we have created a fund to aid those directly effected by the pandemic for a limited time. Please fill out the form in its entity. Decisions will be made on the merit of the anticipated benefit to the brain injury survivor. If you have questions, please contact us at ahia@alamoheadinjury.org.

NOTE: We require all applicants to have sustained a moderate to severe brain injury that has impaired function and/or quality of life. All applicants will have to provide proof of disability and hardship.

AHIA Rainbow House Grant

This grant is for the limited use by individuals who have survived brain injury and is intended to be used to make a specific request for goods, services, or funding from the Alamo Head Injury Association (AHIA). Funding for educations expenses/scholarships, housing, accessibility requests will be considered. Funding limit is $2500 per applicant.  Decisions will be made on the merit of the anticipated benefit of the requested service to the applicant.

AHIA General Grant

This grant  is for the limited use by individuals who have survived brain injury and is intended to be used to make a specific request for goods, services, or funding from the Alamo Head Injury Association (AHIA). Funding for special needs such as medical, rehabilitation, educational, social and recreational will be considered. Funding limit is $500 per 12-month period.   Decisions will be made on the merit of the anticipated benefit of the requested service to the applicant.
